Travelling to downtown Tampa and the port, will take approximately 25 to 30 minutes.

HART (Hillsborough Area Regional Transit), run a regular bus service from the airport to downtown Tampa.

Route number 30 runs to Hanley Waters Plaza or East to the Marion Transit Centre.

Buses to Hanley Waters Plaza schedule
Monday to Friday from the airport: Buses start at 05.35 and then run every 30 minutes, so they are 5 minutes  and 35 minutes past the hour until the last 2 buses, one at 23.25 and the last one at 12.25.

Saturday and Sunday from the airport: The service starts at 07.20 and operates hourly until the last bus as 22.20

Buses to Marion Transit Centre
Monday to Friday: Buses start 05.33.  They run at 3 and 33 minutes past each hour until the last 2 buses which are at 23.26 and then the last one at 12.26

Saturday and Sunday: The service commences at 07.28 and runs hourly until the last bus at 22.28

You can also take the Sarasota/Tampa Express bus which runs every day from the airport
Five buses leave throughout the day from the airport at 12 noon - 13.30 - 15.00 and 16.30 last bus.

The journey to Sarasota is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

From Sarasota (the bus leaves from Public Supermarket in the University Walk Plaza located at Tuttle Ave and University Pkwy.

Times from Sarasota to the airport: 08.00 - 10.30 - 12 noon - 13.30 - 15.00 - 16.30, last bus

Fares: Adult/one way $35 per person: Children aged 4 to 12 $15 per person. The journey is free for children under the age of 4

Greyhound Buses operate from downtown Tampa on 610 Polk Street.  If you need to get to the Greyhound Bus terminal the easiest way from the airport is by shuttle or taxi.

The Greyhound bus service operates to all parts of the USA and Canada.
