Driving Directions from St Petersburg Airport to the City Centre

directions to St Petersburg AirportIt is about 13 miles from St Petersburg Clearwater Airport to the city centre and the average driving time is around 20 minutes.   Following are directions on how to reach St Petersburg Florida from the airport:

  1. Head northwest on FL-686/Roosevelt Blvd toward Terminal Blvd for 0.4 miles

  2. Make a U turn and continue to follow FL-686 for 2.2 miles

  3. Take Slight right toward FL-686/Roosevelt Blvd N for 0.2 miles

  4. Continue straight onto FL-686/Roosevelt Blvd N for 1.1 miles

  5. Merge onto I-275 S via the ramp to St Petersburg for 7.1 miles

  6. Take exit 23A on the left to merge onto I-375 E for 1.4 miles

  7. Take slight right at 4th Ave N/FL-595/US-92 for 0.1 mile

  8. Turn right at 4th St N/FL-687

Driving Directions to St Petersburg Airport

From St. Petersburg and Sarasota (south, travelling north) - take Interstate 275 North to reach the airport and at Exit 30 (686/Largo) and move to the left hand lane to use the overpass to Roosevelt Blvd. After the red light move again to the left hand lane and take the overpass to Ulmerton West 688. After two red lights get in the right hand lane and take Roosevelt Blvd. West 686. St Petersburg Clearwater Airport is on the right.

From Clearwater - take State Route 60 east (Gulf to Bay Blvd.) to Bayside Bridge (which provides the most direct route from Safety Harbour via McMullen Booth Road). Take the first exit just south of the bridge and head east on SR 686 (Roosevelt Blvd.) for the airport.

From Tampa (north approach, travelling westbound) - take Interstate 275 across the Howard Frankland Bridge taking Exit 31 (688 West) on to Ulmerton Rd. Travel 2.5 miles west and get into the right hand lane to West 686 (Roosevelt Blvd.) The airport is on the right.

From New Port Richey and Pasco County (the north) - Take US. 19 south exiting at SR 686 east - Roosevelt Blvd for the airport.
