For ages 21 to 24 at most USA car hire companies you will pay a surcharge and some speciality vehicles, such as cabriolets may not be available to you. Also Enterprise will not rent a vehicle to you if you are aged 18 to 20.

Be aware that drink driving in Florida is not tolerated at all.  Don't be tempted to have that one drink on the flight if you are driving.  If you are stopped by the police make sure you always have your driving licence and rental agreement documents with you and your passport if possible.

If this does happen, do not get out of your car, wait until the officer approaches you and don't step out of the car unless he/she asks you to.
