Arriving at Southwest Fort Myers Airport is an easy process as it is relatively small.  There are not any long walking distances but if you are elderly, infirm or disabled and will need assistance or a wheelchair through arrivals, make sure you confirm this when you book your ticket.

There is no food or drink available in this area but you can walk into the main terminal where there are several food and drink outlets and shops which are all open to the public.

All the car hire facilities are immediately across the street from the terminal building.

The taxi rank is adjacent to the terminal building. When you exit turn right.

The bus transfer point is a short walk from the terminal building and is located on Daniel's Parkway, which is on the approach to the airport.

There isn't a train station at the airport or in Fort Myers.  However, you can take a connecting greyhound bus from Fort Myers to Tampa, where you can connect with Amtrak to all other areas of the States.

It is approximately 14 miles to Fort Myers and the journey time by bus is approximately 50 minutes. By car/taxi it will take around 20 minutes.

There is an Information Desk in the main terminal which can give you full information and maps on the area, local transport information.  Ideas on places to visit and things to do, including sporting activities, the best beaches etc, theatre, the arts etc.
