Sarasota Bradenton International Airport serves as a gateway to the southwest Gulf of Florida and handles 1.2 million passengers each year via major domestic and commuter airlines. Additional scheduled commercial flights are available through Tampa International Airport, which is located just 53 miles north of Sarasota County via I-75 or I-275. The St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport offers high speed jet services to major US cities.

The airport is located at the intersection of SR41 and University Parkway on the Sarasota and Manatee County line. Main roadways to and from the airport include SR41, SR301, University Parkway and I-75 (exit 213).

Car hire/rental at Sarasota Airport is conveniently situated in the baggage reclaim area.  The actual vehicles are parked just a short walking distance across the road from the terminal building.  When you return your vehicle it will be to the same place.
