Panama City Airport is conveniently located 6km to the north of downtown Panama City, approximately 10 minutes from the beaches. From Highway 98 turn north on to Lisenby Avenue, then proceed for 2.2km directly to the Airport terminal.  

Panama City - Bay County International Airport is served by five major airlines and is a charter service provider, with airlines flying to cities throughout Florida and the United States.

There are six major international car hire companies based at the airport.  Several of the hotels in nearby resorts also offer free shuttle transportation to and from the airport.

A spacious atrium hosts the departure lounge with six gates, ample seating and a panoramic view of the air field .Remember to leave plenty of time to get to the airport and check in for your flight, particularly if you have rented a car and have to return it to the car hire company.

Taxis at Panama City Airport and limousine services are readily available. If there are no cabs in front of the Terminal Building, passengers can telephone for taxi service from the courtesy phone located at the advertising kiosk in the terminal's west wing baggage claim area. The Holiday Inn Select in downtown Panama City and the Edgewater Beach Resort on Panama City Beach offer guests a courtesy shuttle service to and from the airport. They may also be contacted via the courtesy phone in the airport terminal baggage area.

The Baytown Trolley operates throughout the City of Panama and covers most locations.  The route operates from 06.00 to 18.30 everyday except Saturday and Sunday.  The fare is only $1. Our guide to Panama City buses provides more details on routes and timetables of local services.

There is no a railway station attached to the airport.   The nearest train station is in downtown Panama City which is the Bay Line Railroad which is a short line running from Panama City between Florida, Abbeville, Alabama.  From these stations you can also make connections to other parts of the USA. You can find both long and short-term car parking at Panama City Airport. The parking facility, as well as the entire airport property, is patrolled 24-hours a day by the Airport Police Department.

Kerbside parking at the terminal is limited to loading and unloading only, with free parking for the first 10 minutes in the public car park.

There is a restaurant in the main lobby which is open from 06.00 to 19.30 hours.  A full menu is available and they do have specials most days.
