Weather at Orlando Airport
Orlando has a subtropical climate which roughly divides into two major seasons: one is hot and rainy from May until October and the other is cooler from November through March with more moderate temperatures and less frequent rainfall. Orlando’s warm and humid climate is caused mainly by its position which is relatively close to the Tropic of Cancer with much of its weather affected by the movement of the Gulf Stream.

During the height of Orlando's humid summer season temperatures rarely fall below 70 °F (21°C), with daytime highs averaging 90ºF. During these months strong afternoon thunderstorms occur almost daily, often bringing with them high winds, damaging rainstorms and lightning.
During the winter season the humidity is lower and temperatures are more moderate with average night time lows in January at around 50 °F (10°C), and average daytime highs at 72°F (22 °C). Temperatures rarely drop below 32 °F (0°C), but the city can drop below freezing maybe once or twice a year.
