Orlando Sanford Airport Trains

Orlando Amtrak trainYou will have to make a rail/train connection in downtown Orlando with the Amtrak network, as there is no rail connection at the airport.

You can travel to downtown Orlando by bus, taxi or limousine from the airport.  The address for the Amtrak Station is 1400 Sligh Blvd., but all taxi/cab drivers will know where this is.

You can travel from  Orlando to: Tampa/Miami - Jacksonville - Savannah - Charleston - Washington DC and New York on the Silver Service Palmetto or to
San Antonio through to Los Angeles on the Sunset Route, which takes you along the southern route and the Gulf Coast, including the Mexican border.

Both routes operate 3 times per week. The ticket office and the station is open daily from 07.30 to 18.30. Check Amtrak's website for full details of schedules and fares www.amtrak.com

Florida Airport Guide trainsBaggage allowance restrictions are in place on trains out of Orlando Sanford.  Each person can only take on the train 2 pieces of baggage (this does not include handbags/laptops etc).  Each of these must not weigh more than 50 pounds/ 22.7 kilos. The size must not exceed 28 x 22 x 14 inches or  71 x 55 x 35 cm. Also, you must have a tag on each piece of luggage, which includes your name and full address.
