Dollar do normally have lots of special deals to choose from including Lock Low and Go, which means you choose your rate per day and they will choose the vehicle for you.  It is guaranteed you will have a vehicle that seats 5, have low mileage and enough room for at least 2 pieces of luggage.

If you haven't driven in the USA before then you may be a little confused by the traffic light system.  Remember, normally, the traffic lights will be hanging from a wire above you, so you need to be extra careful.

In some cases you can turn right at an intersection when the red light is showing.  You must however, stop first.  If it is forbidden to make the right turn there will be a sign telling you.  If there is no sign then assume it is ok to turn right on the red light.

Do not risk drinking and driving, the blood alcohol levels that are acceptable are extremely low.

If you do have a problem and are stopped by the police, do not get out of your vehicle.  Wait for the police officer to come to you and always have your driving licence and car hire documents with you.
