Miami Airport Information
Miami Airport is located 15km west of central Miami. From downtown Miami, take the I-95 north to SR836 West, take the exit at LeJeune Road northbound (NW 42 Avenue); the airport is well signposted. From the north, take the I-95 south to SR112, continuing to the connector to the airport. From the southwest, take SR826 north and exit at LeJeune Road northbound (NW 42 Avenue).
With over 33 million passengers in 2007 (an increase of 3.7% over 2006), Miami International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports, served by over 80 airlines linking over 150 national and international destinations,
The main terminal is semicircular with eight pier-shaped concourses numbered A through J (B was demolished in 2005) in a counter-clockwise direction. Ticketing and departures are located on the upper level and baggage carousels are located on the lower level.

Miami Airport Arrivals
Miami Airport has three customs arrival levels: on the third floor at Concourse J and the now demolished Concourse B, and at the lower level of Concourse E which is the largest of the three. Gates located in Concourses A-F and J, and some gates at Concourse H, route arriving passengers to the main level (for domestic arrivals) or to the immigration halls (for international arrivals). Miami Airport Departures
Before you set off for the airport it is worth telephoning your airline to confirm your flight when they will tell you which concourse and gate you need to go to. This is because there are a large number of scheduled flights operating from the airport and the check in desks and gates are often changed. Miami Airport Taxis
Taxi cabs and super shuttle services are also available, on the ground level outside Arrivals. The taxi fare to the city centre is $15.50 and takes approximately 20 minutes. Miami Airport Buses
The
airport is well connected to the greater Miami area by various services
offered by the Miami-Dade Metrobus. These include routes 7, 37,
42, 57, 133, 236, 238 and the J. Free shuttles are provided to and
from the Tri-Rail commuter railway at the airport and Hialeah Market
Stations. The bus station is on Level 1 of Concourse E.
Approximate time and cost to city centre: Super Shuttle: fare US$9 (time depends on number of stops); Metro Bus:$1.50 ($.75 reduced fare), 35-40 mins via route 7 (East) or route J. For more details visit our guide to buses at Miami Airport.
Miami Airport Trains
Miami Airport has a mass-transit metro-rail system; a fixed rail system to downtown Miami and Brickell; and the 133 TriRail commuter train reaches Broward and Palm Beach Counties from the Airport Station to the east of the airport on NW 21st Street.
The stations are close, within 5 minutes drive from the main terminal. Plans are underway to link the airport by a travelator to the Intermodal Centre which will provide access to Miami-Dade Motorail as well as the future BayLink light rail to South Beach. Miami Airport Parking
Miami International Airport's long-term parking facilities consist of two multi-level parking garages. Short-term parking is available in the same area near the terminal
