How To Get To Jacksonville Airport
Jacksonville Airport is situated around 15 miles / 24 km to the North of the city centre and is within easy driving distance of downtown Jacksonville and the nearby beaches. The airport is based next to the main New York to Miami I-95 interstate and the I-295 Jacksonville bypass just to the south.
There are several roads that lead into the terminal of Jacksonville Airport and these include Duval Road, which becomes the Airport Road and the Service Road, and also the International Airport Boulevard. To the west of the complex, the Lem Turner Road runs around the south western perimeter.
Driving Directions For Jacksonville Airport
Directions to Jacksonville Airport from the North:
1. If you are approaching from the North simply head southwards on the I-95 interstate.
2. Come off at exit 363 onto Airport Road (West) and follow this road until you reach Jacksonville Airport.
Directions to Jacksonville Airport from the South:
1. From Jacksonville and from all southern directions simply head North on the I-95 interstate.
2. Come off at exit 363B onto Airport Road which will lead you up to the terminal buildings.
Directions to Jacksonville Airport from the East:
1. Follow highway 10 (Atlantic Boulevard) from the Jacksonville Beach area until you reach the 9A motorway.
2. Head North up the US-9A motorway and continue until you reach the turn off for the I-95 interstate (North).
3. Exit the I-95 at junction 363B which will lead you onto Airport Road for the terminal building.
Directions to Jacksonville Airport from the West:
1. If you are approaching from the West take the I-10 interstate heading East.
2. Come off at exit 356 and follow the I-295 interstate (North).
3. Continue until you reach the end of the I-295 where you then need to join the I-95 heading North.
4. Come off at exit 363B onto Airport Road to access Jacksonville Airport.
It is worth remembering that interstate 95, I-295 and US-9A can experience heavy traffic during the morning and afternoon rush hours as they are the main access roads for Jacksonville and the surrounding area.
Due to this, it is advisable to allow yourself plenty of time for getting to Jacksonville Airport during these particular times of the day.
