You arrive at Level 1 at one of the 4 terminal buildings at Fort Lauderdale Airport.  Terminals 1 to 3 are domestic flights and terminal 4 International.

All terminals are relatively small, so there are no long walking distances to baggage reclaim and onwards.  All arrivals areas have an Information/Customer Service Desk.

If you are picking up a hire car at the airport, you will have to go to the Rental Car Centre which is in Terminal 1 (head for Concourse B Security Checkpoint).

If you are using Terminals 2, 3 or 4, you will see signs for the Cypress Garage, Rental Car Centre.  These will direct you to a pick up area on the baggage reclaim level where a free shuttle bus will take you to the Centre. 

If your luggage does not appear on the reclaim belt after your journey, do not leave this area without speaking to either the airline you travelled with, their ground handling agent or a member of the airport staff, who will point you in the right direction.

Once through arrivals, taxis, buses and train are all available to transfer to down town Fort Lauderdale which is about is about 10 minutes by taxi and car, 20 minutes by the Fort Lauderdale Airport bus and the same by local train.
