Departures at Daytona Beach Airport

Florida Airport Guide departuresDaytona Beach Airport departures is modern, light and airy set over 2 floors with lifts and escalators available.

As there are very limited International flights the International Terminal is not very busy and the main hub of the airport is in the Domestic Terminal. Both are conveniently located immediately across from the short and long stay car parks.  The car parks are within walking distance of both terminals but a shuttle bus does operate regularly around both car parks to both terminals.

There are 42 check in desks in total at the airport and as the airport is much less busy than Orlando or Jacksonville Airports, making checking in and going through security easy and seamless!

Shopping facilities and cafeterias/restaurants are fairly restrictive at the airport, although both are available there is only one eating and drinking outlet at the airport on the main concourse.  However there are a further two restaurants adjacent to the airport on West International Speedway Blvd.

There are two shops at the airport, both in the main terminal building, one before and one after security, selling the usual newspapers, magazines, gifts etc.  So, if you are travelling via the International Terminal, you will need to use the shop in the main terminal before security.

You will find three Information/Help Desks at the airport, again these are situated in the Main Terminal Building.  One desk is on the second level just before you go through security and the other two are on the ground floor.

Once you have gone through security and into the Departures Lounge, you will find one of the shops there but there are no facilities for buying food, other than what is available from the shop: confectionery and soft drinks.

Currently there is no VIP or Executive Lounge available at the airport.

The airport is well geared up for travellers with special needs and wheelchairs are available at the airport.   If you require any special assistance, particularly in boarding the aircraft it is recommended to confirm this at the time of booking your ticket and also mention this again when you check in.

There isn't any currency exchange facilities at the airport, but here are two cash/ATM machines located both before and after security.  For currency exchange you will have to use one of the banks in the town, although most of them do not offer a same day service.

Internet facilities are available throughout the airport both Wi Fi (wireless) and dedicated work stations with dial up and broadband facilities.

There are only 6 gates at the airport, so from the departures lounge to the gate is a relatively small distance.  As the airport is relatively small there are no long walking distances.
